For those of you that don’t know me, I am a lover of many things! I am very hands on and I love to dabble in many different arts and crafts that make this world a more beautiful place.
Last spring I had the opportunity to take Senior Portraits for my best friend’s oldest daughter. There was little preparation that went into what this photo shoot would include. However, I AM a very visual person and tend to notice everything so I at least had a few ideas of some different locations that I thought would make great backgrounds.
This was my first experience taking pictures that were for more than just my personal collection. And while I am a perfectionist and work really hard on whatever project is at hand, I very rarely have the courage to be openly proud of something I’ve done.
This is so NOT the case with this photo shoot.
Of course, it helped that I had an amazing model to work with ❤
This, my friends, is a rare moment…… this is a project that I am not only proud of……. I’m pretty sure I freaking nailed it! It was SO much fun! I loved capturing these beautiful moments for this sweet girl.
Trust me when I say, I wanted to rush right home and start a photography business! – You see, I was born with an entrepreneur’s spirit and I tend to want to make a living at anything and everything that inspires me.
There are many reasons I didn’t follow through with this desire to start a photography business. I weighed all the options and decided that for me, photography would just have to be a hobby. And I’m OK with that! It is so much fun and when you end up with beautiful shots, it is incredibly exciting!
Today, I am going to share some of these photos with you. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
** I think one of the reasons I am SO in love with these photos is that I did NOT Photoshop them in ANY way! What you see, is what I captured ❤ (I did however use PicMonkey to watermark them (I’m not entirely sure I did that part right!) and I cropped 2 of these photos down just a smidge)
